The 20^th City Council held its 21^st Regular Session on December 5, 2022 where the following Ordinances were approved on Third and Final Reading, to wit:

Furthermore, the Body likewise adopted on Second Reading, Resolution No. 0701-22, Series of 2022, entitled “Urging the Department of Public Works and Highways and its Subsidiary Offices to Properly Execute and Comply With Existing Jurisprudence and Guidelines Regarding Government Infrastructure Projects, to Fasttrack its Present and Future Projects and Finish Them On Time, and Improve its Coordination With Concerned Agencies, Stakeholders, and Local Government Units to Avoid Discrepancies.

 

Resolution No. 0702-22, Series of 2022, was approved on Second Reading, approving and adopting the Local Development Investment Program (LDIP) of the City Government of Davao covering the period 2023-2025 in the total amount of One Hundred Thirty-Two Billion Four Hundred Twelve Million One Hundred Twenty-Seven Thousand Pesos (P132,412,127.00) as well as Resolution No. 0703-22, Series of 2022, approving and adopting the Annual Investment Program (AIP) of the City Government of Davao for Calendar Year 2023 in the total amount of Seventy-Four Billion Two Hundred One Million Three Hundred Ten Thousand Pesos (P74,201,310,000.00).

On its 20^th Regular Session, the 20^th City Council passed and approved on Third and Final Reading, Ordinance No. 0108-22, Series of 2022, entitled “An Ordinance further amending Ordinance No. 0307-20, Series of 2020, as amended, to Allow Voluntary Wearing of Face Masks in Indoor and Outdoor Setting Subject to Certain Exceptions During the State of Public Health Emergency Relative to the COVID-19 Pandemic” as well as Ordinance No. 0111-22, Series of 2022, entitled “An Ordinance Amending City Ordinance No. 089-13, Series of 2013, Establishing and Regulating the Night Market Operations in the City of Davao”.

 

The Body likewise approved on Second Reading, Resolution No. 0689-22, Series of 2022, and its corresponding Ordinance granting legislative authority to the City Mayor to sign, for and in behalf of the City of Davao, the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) to be entered into by and between the City of Davao and SES Davao Diagnostics, Inc., as the sole service provider of the Newborn Hearing Screening Test.

 

Resolution No. 0693-22, Series of 2022, and its corresponding Ordinance was approved on Second Reading, relative to the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to be entered into by and between the City of Davao, and Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) for the Creation of a Resettlement Implementation Committee, relative to the Samal Island-Davao City Connector Project.

 

Moreover, Resolution No. 0694-22 and its Ordinance was approved on Second Reading, entitled, “An Ordinance further amending Ordinance No. 5003, Series of 1997, otherwise known as the “Cockfighting Code of Davao City”, as amended by Ordinance No. 0632-21, Series of 2021”. Subsequently, the Body approved the corollary Resolution No. 0695-22 and its Ordinance, urging the City Engineer’s Office, the Office of the City Building Official, and the Bureau of Fire Protection to inspect the Cockpit Arenas in Davao, prior to the issuance of Special Permit.

 

Finally, Resolution No. 0698-22, Series of 2022 was adopted under Suspended Rules, entitled “Requesting the House of Representatives and the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP) to recognize the Self-Delineated Ancestral Domain of the Matigsalug Tribe of Davao City, as a separate from Certificate of Ancestral Domain (CADT) No. R-10-KIT-0703-0011, as well as Resolution No. 0699-22 and Ordinance No. 0113-22, entitled “An Ordinance authorizing the City Mayor to enter into and sign, for and in behalf of the City of Davao, the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) to be entered into by and between the City of Davao and Love the Children Foundation, Inc., relative to their request for Financial Assistance amounting to Four Hundred Thousand (P400,000.00)”.
