With Acting Vice Mayor Councilor Alberto T. Ungab as the Temporary Presiding Officer, the 20th City Council held its 17th Regular Session on November 8, 2022, and approved the following legislative measures, to wit:

Furthermore, the Body likewise approved Resolutions Nos. 0573-22 to 0580-22 under Suspended Rules, “Congratulating and Commending Davao Artists and Cultural Groups Honored with the Gador Award, particularly: Nestor Horfilla, Agnes Locsin, Joey Ayala, Karl Gaspar, Popong Landero, Kublai Millan, Kathara Dance Theater Collective and Kaliwat Theater Collective, and Naming Them Davao City’s Ambassador for Culture and the Arts”.

Resolution No. 0581-22, Series of 2022, was adopted by the Body, “Thanking and Commending Davao Bay Eagles for its Donation of Seventy (70) Laptop Computers for the Division of City Schools”.

Moreover, Resolution No. 0582-22 and its Ordinance No. 053-22 were duly approved under Suspended Rules, authorizing the City Mayor to sign, for and in behalf of the City Government of Davao, the Memorandum of Agreement by and among the City Government of Davao, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) and the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP) for the Implementation of the Pilot Project entitled, “Indigenous Peoples Civil Registration System in Davao City”.

Resolution No. 0583-22 and its Ordinance No. 054-22, were also approved, authorizing the City Mayor to accept and sign, the Deed of Donation to be executed by the City of Davao in favor of Southern Philippines Medical Center (SPMC) relative to the donation of twenty-one (21) assorted medical apparatus and supplies.

In view of the City’s efforts to help those who have been affected by recent calamities such as Typhoon Paeng, Tropical Depression Maymay and Typhoon Neneng, Resolution Nos.0585-22 to 0612-22 and its corresponding Ordinance Nos. 055-22 to 082-22 were passed under Suspended Rules Granting Legislative Authority to the City Mayor to utilize a portion of the 30% Quick Response Fund (QRF) out of the 5% Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Fund (Calamity Fund) of the City Government of Davao for Calendar Year 2022 in the total amount of Fourteen Million Three Hundred Thousand (P14,300, 000.00) Pesos to identified Local Government Units declared under State of Calamity due to earthquake and typhoons, viz:

Finally, Resolution No. 0613-22 and Ordinance No. 083-22 were approved, granting legislative authority to the City Mayor to utilize a portion of the Thirty Percent (30%) Quick Response Fund (QRF) out of the Five Percent (5%) Disaster Risk Reduction Management Fund (Calamity Fund) of the City Government of Davao for Calendar Year 2022 in the amount of Thirty-Nine Million (P39,000,000.00) Pesos for the following account expenses namely: Welfare Goods for Thirty Million (P30,000,000.00) Pesos, Fuel Oil & Lubricants for Five Million (P5,000,000.00) Pesos; Other MOOE amounting to Two Million (P2,000,000.00) and Travelling Expenses in the amount of Two Million (P2,000,0000.00) Pesos.
