In view of the Body’s invitation, Atty. Victoria Lu, President of Apo Agua Infrastructura, Inc., provided updates regarding the Bulk Water Supply Project in Davao City, which is targeted to be operational by June 2023. The over P13-Billion project will deliver 300 million liters of water daily to DCWD. Apo Agua’s bulk water supply system adopts the water-energy nexus concept, where a run-of-river hydroelectric plant will power the water treatment facilities.

On its 13^th Regular Session held on April 4, 2023, the 20^th City Council passed and approved Ordinance No. 0188-23, Series of 2023, entitled “An Ordinance authorizing the City Mayor to enter into and sign, for and in behalf of the City of Davao, the Deed of Donation executed by Mr. Randy P. Magallanes in favor of the City of Davao, relative to the donation of Four (4) Units of Motorcycle Vehicles” and Ordinance No. 0189-23, Series of 2023, entitled “An Ordinance authorizing the City Mayor to enter into and sign, for and in behalf of the City of Davao, the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) to be entered into by and between the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) and the City of Davao, relative to the Maintenance, Supervision, as well as Shouldering of the necessary expenses (Water and Light) of the constructed structures and facilities, located within Bago Aplaya and Gulf View Esplanades, this City”.

 

The Body likewise approved the Ordinance on Second Reading, relative to the Ordinance providing a system for addressing and preventing bullying in Educational Institutions, Workplaces, and other Public Areas, as amended.
