Ordinance No. 0404-24, Series of 2024, entitled “An Ordinance authorizing the City Mayor to enter into and sign, for and in behalf of the City of Davao, the Letter of Understanding (LOU) between the Civil Aviation of the Philippines-Francisco Bangoy (Davao International Airport) and the City of Davao on Wildlife/Bird Strikes at Davao International Airport was approved on January 30, 2024 during the 4^th Regular Session of the 20^th City Council.

            Further, the following legislation were adopted under Suspended Rules, to wit:

The following legislations were duly enacted by the 20th City Council during the 3rd Regular Session held on January 25, 2024, to wit:

            Further, the Body likewise approved on Second Reading, Resolution No. 02122-24, Series of 2024, and its corresponding Ordinance, authorizing the City Mayor to enter into and sign, for and in behalf of the City of Davao, the Letter of Understanding (LOU) by and between the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines-Francisco Bangoy (Davao International Airport) and the City of Davao on Wildlife/Bird Strikes at Davao International Airport.

            Lastly, Resolution No. 02123-24, Series of 2024, was approved under Suspended Rules, requesting the CTTMO-Motorized Vehicle Franchising and Regulatory Division (MVFRD) to accept and issue new Motorized Tricycle Operators Permit (MTOP) using non-conventional tricycles specifically “Bajaj Re” and all other Motorcycle Unit of same kind widely distributed by Emcor-Davao and other authorized motorcycle distributors to all existing approved Motorized Tricycle for Hire Routes in Davao City to cater the needs of the general riding public specifically employees and students for lack of public transportation.

            During the 2^nd Regular Session held on January 23, 2024, the 20^th City Council passed and approved on Second Reading, Resolution No. 02108-24, Series of 2024, and its corresponding Ordinance on Second Reading, enacting an Ordinance institutionalizing the programs, services, privileges, and benefits for Solo Parents and their Children, appropriating funds thereof and for other purposes pursuant to Republic Act 8972, as amended by Republic Act 11861, known as the Amended Solo Parents Welfare Act of 2000. The Solo Parents Welfare Act of 2000 provides that it is the policy of the State to promote the family as the foundation of the nation, strengthen its solidarity and ensure its total development.

            The Body likewise approved on Second Reading, Resolution Nos. 02150-24 to 02158-24 and its corresponding Ordinances, all Series of 2024, enacting Ordinances granting legislative authority to the City Mayor to sign, for and in behalf of the City of Davao, the Memoranda of Agreement (MOA) to be entered into by and between the Department of Health – Davao Center for Health Development, the Local Government Unit of Davao, and Nine (9) personnel under the Rural Health Midwives Placement Program (RHMPP), namely: Philip John A. Ali, Vic Ambasa, Steffi Alex Monique Andaya, Ferly Mae L. Barrera, Rhealie E. Dagocdocan, Catherine Kylie P. Iglesias, Lester P. Maxino, Meralyn R. Robleda and Angel O. Sumobay, respectively.

            For the first Regular Session of the New Year 2024, the 20th City Council passed and approved Ordinance No. 0386-24, Series of 2024, entitled “An Ordinance granting legislative authority to the City Mayor to sign, for and in behalf of the City of Davao, the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to be entered into by and between the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and the City of Davao on the Supplementary Feeding Program (SFP) to conduct the Milk Feeding Program in addition to regular meals to target children ages 2-5 years old enrolled in the Child Development Centers (CDCS) and Supervised Neighborhood Play (SNPs) as part of DSWD’s contribution to the Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) Program of the Local Government Unit.

            Further, the Body likewise approved under Suspended Rules, Resolution No. 02095-24 and its corresponding Ordinance No. 0389-24, both Series of 2024, granting legislative authority to the City Mayor to sign, for and in behalf of the City of Davao, the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) to be entered into by and between the City of Davao and the Advanced Infinit Technology Solutions, Inc., relative to the establishment of School Information Management Systems for the City College of Davao.

A Resolution acknowledging and expressing the people’s gratitude for the contribution and efforts of former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte and Vice President Sara Z. Duterte and the continuation of the present administration of Mayor Sebastian Z. Duterte for the eventual completion and operation of the Davao City Bulk Water Supply Project in the City of Davao was adopted under Suspended Rules through Resolution No. 02087-24, Series of 2024.

            After winning the sectoral representation of the Liga ng mga Barangay to the Body, Councilor January N. Duterte took her oath to serve as Chairperson of the Committee on Barangay Affairs and Vice Chairperson of the Committee on Government Enterprises and Privatization. Councilor Edgar P. Ibuyan Jr. likewise took his oath as the Chairperson of the Committee on Government Enterprises and Privatization and as Vice-Chairperson of the Committee on Barangay Affairs.

Finally, Resolution No. 02092-24, Series of 2024, was approved, entitled “Supporting the Celebration of the National Bible Month in January 2024 with the theme, “God’s Word: The Breath of New Life”, authored by Councilor Pilar C. Braga.
