The following legislative measures were approved on Third and Final Reading by the 20^th City Council during its 24^th Regular Session held on December 12, 2022, to wit:

Further, the Body approved Resolution No. 0768-22, Series of 2022, Favorably recommending Item No. 64 – Request of Anabele R. Natividad, Project Director, GIGA ACE 9, Inc., for the passage of a Resolution interposing no objection and favorable endorsement to develop, construct and operate a 30MW Davao Battery Energy Storage System Project to be situated in Barangay Binugao, Toril District, this City.

 

Finally, Resolution No. 0798-22 and its corresponding Ordinance No. 0135-22, all Series of 2022 were approved under Suspended Rules, authorizing the City Mayor to enter into and sign, for and in behalf of the City of Davao, the Deed of Donation (DOD) to be executed by and between the City of Davao and the Embassy of the Republic of China in the Republic of the Philippines represented by H.E. Huang Xilian, and Office of the Davao City First Congressional District represented by Hon. Paolo Z. Duterte, or Donors, relative to the donation of 320 Units of Household Sewing Machines, identified as JA2-2 Sewing Machine with portable plastic case and motor, in recognition and support of the Donee in empowering the Indigenous Cultural Communities/Indigenous Peoples (ICCPs/IPs) and enhancing their quality of life and economic development.

The 20^th City Council held its 23^rd Regular Session on December 9, 2022 and approved on Third and Final Reading Ordinance No. 0127-22, Series of 2022, entitled “An Ordinance Granting Legislative Authority to the General Fund Annual Budget and Plantilla of the City Government of Davao for Calendar Year 2023, Comprising Budget under the General Fund Proper, the Economic Enterprises for the Operation of Markets, Slaughterhouses, Cemeteries, Davao City Recreation Center (DCRC) and Magsaysay Park, and the Annual Development Fund in the Total Amount of Eleven Billion Seven Hundred Ninety-One Million Seven Hundred Thirty-Six Thousand One Hundred Sixty-Eight Pesos (P11,791,736,168.00)”.

The Body likewise adopted the following Resolutions on Second Reading, to wit:

During its 22^nd Regular Session, the 20^th City Council passed and approved on Third and Final Reading, Ordinance No. 0120-22, Series of 2022, authorizing the City Mayor to Sign, for and in behalf of the City of Davao, the Deed of Donation by and between the City of Davao and Pandaitan Multipurpose Cooperative relative to the donation of Bakery Equipment. The Body likewise approved on Third and Final Reading, Ordinance Nos. 0121-22 to 0123-22, all Series of 2022, the Memoranda of Agreements (MOAs) relative to the Loan Facility of the City Employees of Davao Cooperative, CSSDO Employees Multipurpose Cooperative and the Government Employees of Davao City Multipurpose Cooperative with the City Government of Davao.

 

Furthermore, the Body approved Resolution No. 0738-22 and its corresponding Ordinance on Second Reading, entitled “An Ordinance Granting Legislative Authority to the General Fund Annual Budget and Plantilla of the City Government of Davao for Calendar Year 2023, Comprising the Budget under the General Fund Proper, the Economic Enterprises for the Operation of Markets, Slaughterhouses, Cemeteries, Davao City Recreation Center (DCRC) and Magsaysay Park, and the Annual Development Fund in the Total Amount of Eleven Billion Seven Hundred Ninety-One Million Seven Hundred Thirty-Six Thousand One Hundred Sixty-Eight Pesos (P11,791,736,168.00).

 

Resolution No. 0739-22, Series of 2022 and its corresponding Ordinance was approved on Second Reading, providing a System for Addressing and Preventing Bullying in Educational Institutions, Workplaces, and other Public Areas, as amended.

 

Also, Resolution No. 0740-22, Series of 2022, was approved under Suspended Rules, requesting the City Transport and Traffic Management Office (CTTMO) to increase the dispatching of their traffic personnel this Christmas Season for mobility and visibility purposes to man the traffic considering the rush and influx of vehicles towards business and tourist destination in the City, considering that the health protocols now are more loosen up. Finally, Resolution          No. 0741-22, Series of 2022, was approved by the Body, favorably endorsing the utilization of the Energy Regulation (ER) 1-94 Funds for Calendar Year 2020-2021 from the Department of Energy (DOE) for the City of Davao, in response to the COVID-19 public health emergency.
