The 20^th City Council passed and approved Resolution No. 03062-24, Series of 2024, and its corresponding Ordinance on Second Reading, entitled “Enacting an Ordinance granting legislative authority to Supplemental Budget No. 1 of the City Government of Davao for Calendar Year 2024, comprising the budget under the General Fund Proper, the Development Fund, and the Economic Enterprises in the total amount of Two Billion Two Hundred Fifteen Million Seven Hundred Two Thousand Two Hundred Ninety-Seven Pesos and 50/100 (Php 2,215,702,297.50)”, during its 30^th Regular Session held on August 7, 2024, espoused by Councilor Myrna G. L’Dalodo-Ortiz, Chairperson of the Committee on Finance, Ways and Means, and Approriations.

The 29^th Regular Session of the 20^th City Council convened in the newly renovated Session Hall of the Sangguniang Panlungsod, now featuring an upgraded appearance. The 20^th City Council passed and approved on Third and Final Reading, Ordinance No. 0584-24, Series of 2024, entitled “An Ordinance Renaming the Lying-In Centers, Reproductive Health and Wellness Centers (RHWC), and the Dispensary Section of the City Health Office”.

 

Further, the Body likewise approved the following legislation on Second Reading, to wit:

• Enacting an Ordinance amending the Functional Chart of the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO), specifically, Section 1 of Ordinance No. 2374-94, Series of 1994

• Commending Khrista Francis “Hyku” Desesto, a Dabawenya based in Dubai, as one of the honorees for the 2023 Ten Outstanding Young Men (TOYM) Awards

In recognition of their contributions to the enhancement of the Session Hall and Gallery of Legislators through the donation of a mural, providing photos of City Legislators, Mayors and Vice Mayors and for donating tapestries of the Eleven Tribes, the following measures were approved by the Body:

• Expressing gratitude and appreciation of the 20^th City Council to the Eleven (11) Tribes and their Deputy Mayors for the Fabric they generously provided for the newly renovated Session Hall of the Sangguniang Panlungsod Building

• An Ordinance authorizing the City Mayor to utilize a portion of the Thirty Percent (30%) Quick Response Fund (QRF) out of the Five Percent (5%) Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Fund (Calamity Fund) of the City Government of Davao for Calendar Year 2024, in the total amount of Fourteen Million Five Hundred Thousand Pesos (Php 14,500,000.00) for Financial Assistance to Twenty-Seven (27) Local Government Units which were declared under a State of Calamity due to Typhoon Carina, subject to existing government budgeting, accounting and auditing rules and regulations, to wit:
